Christmas Crop

Well, I'm hosting a little Christmas Crop over at my Swedish blog, and there's some sketches and an ad and this scraplift "Now X-mas without you"

Hannah is in San Fran celebrating with her grandma and cousins. An all american Christmas... that's cool for her, but sucky for me!

Journaling in english:
Today I miss you more than ever. It just isn't christmas without you. I love you!

And the other night I made this real fast layout... "What a disappointment"

This is about how upset Samuel was that he didn't get to open the bag of Cheetos right away. His first store-tantrum.

Journaling in english:
You were so happy about your catch at the store, until we got in the car and you realized that you didn't get to open the bag right away. You were SO sad and got experience your first shoppingdisappointment.

So, I'm hoping to scrap some more today. Yay! I am so glad my inspiration has returned!

Saturday, December 22, 2007

So, my inspiration had left the building...

...but seem to have reappeared now!
So, a couple of weeks ago I made this.

And then, last night, this.

And now I'm off work for two whole weeks and am hoping to scrap like crazy!
I don't think I told you, but I got a job. And I love it!!! It's the best! A little too far away from home, but since I only work 50% it's okay. I LOVE it... really do.
But now I'm off like I said. And my daughter is visiting grandma in San Fran so I don't have to think about entertaining her...
Only son and husband left. And I'm hoping they'll be spending quality-time together so that I can scrap. Scrap and scrap and scrap! :D

Okay... that's all for now. Sweet Joscelyne - thanks for wondering where I've been. I'm just great as you can see! :)

Some inspiration

This is for a new blog that's starting up today.
You have to go check it out. Like right now! :D

The concept is to get inspired by a music video.
This was mine, inspired by Hey Ya by Outkast.
See all the other inspiring layouts and the video right here!

I was obviously inspired by the purple, and the green hearts. The text of course...
see the stamped O:s? They do sing OOooooOOooooOOOOoo so... that's where that comes from. :D

Furhat

YAY! I scrapped. I scrapped last night too but that layout was hideous whereas you are not allowed to see it. :D

So, here's tonights creation.
I had fun making this. And note the patterned paper for the background!!!!! Holy cow! ;D

Journaling in english:
Furhat
I have inherited this hat from my grandpa, and even if I rarely use it I could never throw it out. It's got too much cultfactor for that!

Here in Sweden we use the word cult for something that's really not "in" at all anymore but is stil sorta cool... like vintagestuff.... you CAN use it, but wouldn't on a regular basis...

Dance

This is Samuel dancing in the livingroom. This is what he loves. Good thing we have a big livingroom so he can roam around! :D

Journaling in english:

You want the music on in the livingroom so you can run around, jump high and shake loose. Mom and dad are also supposed to join in for the best dancing!

Oh, and that CK prize...

...it hasn't arrived. And I doubt it ever will.
Trying to contact CK is worthless... I've mailed the person who actually did the drawings - several times - and only once have I gotten a response.

You would think they would just own up to their mistake not putting "only for US residents and bla bla bla" in the description and move on with it.
I'd take an apology. Now I'm just sad they totally ignore it all.

Spin

So finally some actual inspiration came today. So happy bout that!

Here's the results.
I bought this little thing to make corrugated paper and of course had to try it. AND LOVE IT! :D
I used leaves from the backyard... thought it would be fun.

Journaling in english:
You have discovered how to spin the swing to the max, then lift your feet up and let the swing spin for a great tickle in your belly.

Crazy

This I made a couple of weeks ago. For the challengeblog where I'm a designer.
We got sponsorsmaterial and it was WILD. How about a felt moose!!!So, you see... I had to go beyond everything that I am. All my rules and boundaries... and this is what came out. I had loads of fun doing it and even if it is not one of my masterpieces I do truly like it a lot!
You should try going crazy too!

Besides not scrapping normally or even at all, I have been taking some fall-pics.
This is what it looks like where I live.

So I did scrap a little

A couple of days ago I actually managed to scrap some... it's just that the JOY of creating is not appearing. That really bugs me, and I sooo wish for it to come back.
To tell you the truth, the joy of many things have disappeared but I am working on that.

So here are the results of the scrap.

This first one is my address when I lived in Hawaii... it has special meaning... had to be scrapped... I think I'll scrap my whole Hawaii-experience some other time... it's sorta a touchy subject for me... In the process of scrapping this Hawaii-thought were filling my brains so I have been listening to some Hawaiian music. And I just LOVE IZ's Over the rainbow... I can listen to it over and over again. Gotta listen now too! :D

Journaling in english:
My first home in the US.
I wasn't really happy here, but I really didn't understand that then. My living here didn't end very well.. not well at all.

This other one is such a cool pic. I just love it. This is summer. Hannah and Samuel playing in the sprinkler...

Journaling in english:
Movement
This is exactly how I remember this summer. Full of playing and movement.

For anyone who might actually miss me....

...I'm just not scrapping at the moment. Nope... have no inspiration at all. It sucks actually...

Hopefully I'll be able to scrap tomorrow. I'm beginning to miss it. :/

And to answer my one loyal readers (Joscelyne) question - I do draw my outlines on freehand. :D

Blah

My son got sick friday. Guess who woke up with a tennisball in her throat? Yep, you guessed right - I did. Soooo hate being ill...
But I'll survive... after all it's just a cold.

I guess I'll have to scrap instead of doing chores... boohoo ;)

Loved

Here's a layout with a pic of my son I just love. No particular story... just love the pic. :D
Butterflies and doodles are templates I have made for CR/Sillhouette/wishblade.

And a closeup:

This one is about being home with my son.
The orange frame is also a template I have made. And note how many pics I got in there! Not bad huh?

Journaling in english:
Well, I wasn't exactly being lazy being home with you all day. Even if you are, and was, a very calm boy, it was still full force all day long. From 0-180 in 30 seconds. But you know what? I really miss those days together. Action days. Just you and me.

Head tilted

Simple layout... just love the pic. :)
Another one from yesterday. Doodles are from my shop.

Boob-fascination

Yes.
Isn't this just the cutest pic? Huh? Mother kissing her son on the head. Love..... for BOOBIES??? WHERE is the son keeping his hands? WHAT is he doing? WHY is he touching those? Yeah... that fascination with the boobies just isn't ending... But no he is NOT going to touch MY boobies until he's 18. That's for sure! :D

Journaling in english:
Well, actually it was quite a while ago that we stopped breastfeeding. You have never stopped liking the boobies though. At totally unexpected times you will reach for them. I think it's a kind of comfort for you. I don't mind. I'm absolutely sure you will NOT be touching them all your life. Absolutely sure.

So yesterday I went to a crop. We had so much fun! This was the best crop I've ever attended. Doesn't say much perhaps... I've been to maybe 5 or 6. :D
But this was just SO nice. We had so much fun. And I love when I don't have to censor myself but can actually be just as dorky as I am! :D
AND as a big bonus I scrapped four layouts! That's not bad, huh? I usually just sit and dumbstare at the pics and embellies for hours and then decide on something else, which usually gives the result of NOTHING leaving the place. :D
And I'm LIKING all my four layouts too! What are the odds of that ever happening! AND they are finished!
Okay, only not uploaded here right now... just that one. Don't have the energy to upload the others... you will have to come back *cliffhanger*

Emma & you

This was one of those pics that had to be scrapped too.
So I made a new template for my Robo and cut out the black flowers with doodles.
Also the journalingspot is from my shop.
IN case you'd be interested, I can add it to my Etsy-shop.

Journaling in english:
Emma and you played SO much after we moved back to Sweden. Several days a week we'd spend at Emma's house. Sometimes friendships seem to just fade away. That's what happened here.

Look we can dive!

This is my daughter and her friend, many years ago.
They were so proud they could dive... or more like sticking their face in the water. :D

Etsy

Everyone's talking about it so why shouldn't I get one too?
I decided the easiest way for me to sell my stuff abroad would be through Etsy. So, I got me a little shop.
Not everything is in there, but obviously I'll add stuff if you're interested in something in the store that's not there. :)
Welcome to my Etsy-shop

And today I am SOOOO tired.
I babysat last night. Slept over there, and then the little baby decided that 5:15 was a good time to wake up! :-o
I didn't, neither did the mommy who didn't get home til 1am
I didn't fall asleep til midnight, so I'm dead today. Still went to a friends house today and had some coffee (lots) and talked for a few hours. But now time is finally nearing that magical "it's okay to go to bed hour"
YAY!

Home

This is about our home. It's for the challengeblog where I'm a designer.

Flowerstems from my shop

Journaling in english:
Just think, this is our home! How cool is that? We were just gonna go to some houseshowings so we'd know what we wanted in a house. This was the first house we went to look at and on the way back home from the showing we were both convinced we did NOT want the house. Before the day had ended though, we had both changed our opinion about that and totally crazy we WON the bidding and got the house for only 2. 65 mil. It's my best, and most expensive, impulsebuy ever.
Sure we were nervous as we signed all the papers, but we've managed very well. This is our home, and we love it.

Sweet girl

I love this format! For all thos less-than-perfect pics from when Hannah was a baby. This format is perfect!
I have so many of these pics, no journaling needed. Just love how cute she was. :D

Eyes

This pic has been waiting to be scrapped for the longest time. Finally managed to do something with it. Feels good.
Journalingspots I made for cutting with CR/Wishblade/Sillhouette and can be bought from my store

Journaling in english:
I don't really know where you got your blue eyes from. They sure aren't from me or daddy. But they are very special and a big part of your personality. Nobody can say no to your blue eyes.

The summer when you got big

My little Hannah got big. Just like that.

Frills from my shop, a little handdrawn bird inspired by all the birds everywhere. Title cut with CR (font Mabella), Primaflowers and brads.
Doodled frame around journaling I drew and cut with my CR.

Journaling in english:
You were almost never home this summer. Out playing with friends from early morning 'til late night. I guess that's the way it's going to be from now on. I just have to realize that my little Hannah is so big!

Thursday, September 13, 2007

Right now

Here's a layout I made today. I like this pic of me, and right now it's perfect.

I used lots of acrylic paint. Dabbers from Adirondack are the BEST!
Cut out stars and painted with acrylic paint, and then added a 3D-coat. Did the same with the thickers for the title. Cut the dymo-text up into pieces to add a little mess. :D
Doodlings I have made myself and cut with my CR. Can be found in the shop as a template or cut out. And yes, sooooon I will translate the shop into english. It IS under way... takes some time though as my messy life has been taking over me and all my wants. Some bling on the photo too... thought that was needed for this mess to be complete. :D

Title reads: Life is a little messy right now
Journaling goes:
There's so much stuff upside-down in my life right now. For the first time I know what I want to do with my life, only life doesn't seem to want to do the same thing as I do. Frustrating! But it'll probably be okay...

I took a walk

After dropping Samuel off at preschool (or daycare? I forget the difference) yesterday I took a walk. Rain was hanging in the air and the light was just gorgeous. After about 15 minutes of walking and seeing all sorts of pretty things I cut the walk short and went for my camera. So I did the same walk again. Do you think the light was still there? No, of course not... But I found some pretty stuff anyways.

Here's what Sweden looks like right now. Fall came earlier than we had hoped, but hey - those colors make up for the loss of summer. Truly do.

Besides the walk I made some lingonberry-jam yesterday. YUM! So good!

Sofia

This was made for the challengeblog where I'm a designer. I made it during the summer, and the topic was homemade overlays. The journalingtag is homemade. :)
Butterflies are homemade robo-templates. Flowers are retroflowers painted with distress-reinkers.
Background has been splattered with acrylic paint.

Journaling in english:
Just think you've been this small, Sofia. You and I were friends already then, Sofia. It's so special being your aunt!

Painted nails

This is about how Hannah and I always paint our nails the day before she leaves for the states every summer. Then we cannot clean the paint off until she gets home again. Worked like a charm the first year, when she was gone no more than 2½ weeks.
A little worse this year when she was gone a month!

Journalingstamps and flowerstamps from my shop.

Journaling reads:
Every summer you leave for the states and the first year already we painted our nails before you left. Then we let it stay there until you were home again, and that way we saw how long you've been gone.
This year, you were gone way too long.

Yesterday was the weirdest day. I was SO tired all day. Had to go to bed at 6.30 pm!!! I could not stay awake. I hate those kind of days. But hey, I'm wellrested now. :D
I was hoping to get some scrapping done this weekend, but now I feel I should spend some time with my kids instead.
So, I'll scrap tomorrow. :D

Sketches

Did you know that I have my own sketchblog?
Well, in case you didn't, here's a link.
I just uploaded a bunch of new sketches today!

Sunday, September 2, 2007

First kiss - no thanks!!!

I made this last night. Really for my shop. :D
I've used a LOT of new stuff from the shop. Fun fun! Still got plenty more to add to the store, but this will do for now. I'm going out on a photosafari with some other scrapgirls today! :)

Journalingspots, frills, ticket and doodles are from my store.

Journaling in english:
How sweet! Wilma and you were playing and suddenly Wilma felt like giving you a hug and kiss. You were NOT interested in hugs and kisses. I'm so glad I had the camera ready for these cute pics!

Sleep in mama's bed

This was for a challenge to try the new format 6x12 or 12x6
So, this started out as a 12x12 that just didn't look good. I cropped it down, rearranged a bunch of stuff, added some of my Robo-cut doodles and voilá!
Doodled tag is also from my shop.

Journaling in english:
You started sleeping in my bed already as a baby and not until you wer 5 yo did you move to your own bed. Still at 10 you sometimes sleep in my bed and I love to listen to you breathing in the middle of the night.

The kids are both home sick today and I have been working hard on a whole lot of new stuff for my store.
Also, got a mail that my new set of stamps will be shipping tonight!! Soooo exited!!!
Will have to prepare the store and all that....
Interested, but don't understand a thing in that store? E-mail me at peterlina(a)kauhale.com

Just think what time does

I scrapped!!! YAY!
I liked the blue on my wastebin so I decided to use the same color for a layout. And on SiS I got a challenge to use something from my stash that's OLD. ANd the oldest I could find was the pink PP so that was a given.
I crocheted a flower and the frills are "frills by Peterlina" :D
Will be available in my little shop as soon as the little rascal goes back to daycare... yes... he's got a cold. Of course.
That is also the time the shop will turn english... Be patient. :D Cause next week new stamps are coming in!

Well, here it is.

Journaling in english:
I remember thinking you looked so big in this pic. That my little girl could look so big. But just think what time does to things, cause today I think you look so small here. Cause now you ARE big. Right? In ten years I'll probably look at todays photos and think that you looked so small. On the other hand, you will always be my little girl.

Wastebin

So, my scrapinspiration is all gone. Nothing at all happens here. Well, nothing scrappy at least. But I made this little wastebin for throwing little paperpieces in at crops. Perfectly folds to fit in my little bag (cause, yes I only need a small bag. I'm a light scrapper :D)
Thinking of perfecting the little sucker and sell some in my Etsyshop... let's see... what else could I sell there?

Here it is. :) It's felt and stands on its own without paperbacking or anything. Gotta love felt.

Attitude

Made this about a week ago. I'm trying out my new stamps (doodles) that will be landing in the shop in a couple of weeks. (Waiting for a more specific shippingdate)
Oh, forgot - this LO was picked by one of the fashionistas at Sis for the Catwalk this week! Can you say EXITING???

Besides that we're starting daycare again. With all the 1-2 hourvisits in the beginnng.
This is a new place, just a couple of blocks from here, and it's soooo much better than the old place!
Next week I'm hoping for a few more hours there for Samuel so that I can do some work. Like translating the shop into english and non-swedish prices! :D
Just in case somebody outside of our little country would like to buy something.

Strange

This is a layout that I made for a Swedish blog about my creative process. It was published yesterday so now I can show my little Layout. In case you can read swedish or in case you're just real nosy then the link to the community where the blog is is right here.

So, this is the layout then.

Journaling in english:
No matter how strange this might sound, so when you're gone, it's almost hard to remember the whole you. The way you are, the way you look, the way you talk. It's almost like a blur. Good thing I have ways to remember you until you are home again.

Yes, my daughter leaves me every year for a vacation with her dad to go visit grandma and all the cousins outside of San Francisco. So, that's really what this is all about. I don't forget what she looks like when she goes to school and such! HAHA!

On another fun note, My layout about coffee below was picked as a featured layout on CKs website! How cool is that???
I might add - VERY COOL! ;)

And my stamps, they are actually going fast! That is sooo much fun!
I might have to order a new shipment!

Bada

Here's a layout about my love for water.

Journaling in english:
Ever since I was little I have loved swimming in the water. At summercamp I remember diving into the water as soon as I understood that it was time to get up. That way I would gain a couple of extra minutes in the water. My true element.
Floating around in the water gives me such a fantastic feeling of freedom that I just can't get anywhere else.
In Hawaii I got a PADI-certifitcat and got to experience the most amazing part of this world. Even if I have now calmed down on the whole swimming-passion I am still one of the few to actually dive in when the water is a little too cold.

Coffee

This is about my after-lunch-coffee
Got to have it! :)

Clearstamps are of course my own design. So much fun to use! :)

LO removed for publication

LTNS

Okay, so I've been generally really bad at all the social stuff on the net lately. It's just that - IT'S SUMMER!
Yeah, When you live in a house it's okay if the sun isn't crazy shining all day long, cause you can just go out during those 30 minutes it's actually showing itself.
So, that's what I've done...

Oh, and I've been working on this too... english version might emerge eventually... it's just some clearstamps I've designed and some digital stuff for Wishblade/craftrobo/sillhouette and such.
Check out my little store here.

But yes, I have done som scrapping too. Of course. Not too much though... just enough. :D

Here are the results.

On this one I used a journalingspot from my little store. Drew the flowers myself of course.

This one is cool I think. Put acrylic paint on corrugated paper and turned it over on the CS and got the perfect lines for the background AND journaling!

This was one of those 30-minute layouts i challenged myself to. It's about all the visits I got when I lived in the states and how extremely important they were to me. Journalingspot from my store again. There's hardly any stuff with swedish words on them so I made some. :)

This one also has som journalingspots from my store. This is about how Hannah loves the lottery more then the actual bonfire that goes with this spring-celebration. :)

Collector

Yes, my little collector...
Found this pic the other day, and hadn't seen it for a few years. Fun!

I made the frame with acrylic paint, the journaling is obviously Dymo and for the first time in MONTHS I used my foamstamps!! Wohoo! Fun!
Used fluid chalk for those.
The doodlingframe around the pinecone? I drew it and then made a photoshop-brush with it.

So here's the journaling in english:
You started collecting pinecones and sticks early. Not to mention all the pebbles.
Even as a 10-year-old you still drag home a bunch of stuff.
It's okay.
You got it from me
/Mamma
