It really makes me so happy, as I've been doubting my scrapping abilities as of the past few months.
But I'm really feeling the scrap coming back to me. It's such a great feeling... like losing your loved one and then getting him back!

I feel like the worst blogger, but honestly I don't blog much in Swedish either.

Well, I'm hosting a little Christmas Crop over at my Swedish blog, and there's some sketches and an ad and this scraplift "Now X-mas without you"

Hannah is in San Fran celebrating with her grandma and cousins. An all american Christmas... that's cool for her, but sucky for me!

So, a couple of weeks ago I made this.

And then, last night, this.

And now I'm off work for two whole weeks and am hoping to scrap like crazy!
I don't think I told you, but I got a job. And I love it!!! It's the best! A little too far away from home, but since I only work 50% it's okay. I LOVE it... really do.
But now I'm off like I said. And my daughter is visiting grandma in San Fran so I don't have to think about entertaining her...
Only son and husband left. And I'm hoping they'll be spending quality-time together so that I can scrap. Scrap and scrap and scrap! :D

I have inherited this hat from my grandpa, and even if I rarely use it I could never throw it out. It's got too much cultfactor for that!

Here in Sweden we use the word cult for something that's really not "in" at all anymore but is stil sorta cool... like vintagestuff.... you CAN use it, but wouldn't on a regular basis...

Trying to contact CK is worthless... I've mailed the person who actually did the drawings - several times - and only once have I gotten a response.

You would think they would just own up to their mistake not putting "only for US residents and bla bla bla" in the description and move on with it.
I'd take an apology. Now I'm just sad they totally ignore it all.

I bought this little thing to make corrugated paper and of course had to try it. AND LOVE IT! :D
I used leaves from the backyard... thought it would be fun.

This I made a couple of weeks ago. For the challengeblog where I'm a designer.
We got sponsorsmaterial and it was WILD. How about a felt moose!!!So, you see... I had to go beyond everything that I am. All my rules and boundaries... and this is what came out. I had loads of fun doing it and even if it is not one of my masterpieces I do truly like it a lot!
You should try going crazy too!

A couple of days ago I actually managed to scrap some... it's just that the JOY of creating is not appearing. That really bugs me, and I sooo wish for it to come back.
To tell you the truth, the joy of many things have disappeared but I am working on that.

So here are the results of the scrap.

This first one is my address when I lived in Hawaii... it has special meaning... had to be scrapped... I think I'll scrap my whole Hawaii-experience some other time... it's sorta a touchy subject for me... In the process of scrapping this Hawaii-thought were filling my brains so I have been listening to some Hawaiian music. And I just LOVE IZ's Over the rainbow... I can listen to it over and over again. Gotta listen now too! :D

Isn't this just the cutest pic? Huh? Mother kissing her son on the head. Love..... for BOOBIES??? WHERE is the son keeping his hands? WHAT is he doing? WHY is he touching those? Yeah... that fascination with the boobies just isn't ending... But no he is NOT going to touch MY boobies until he's 18. That's for sure! :D

Well, actually it was quite a while ago that we stopped breastfeeding. You have never stopped liking the boobies though. At totally unexpected times you will reach for them. I think it's a kind of comfort for you. I don't mind. I'm absolutely sure you will NOT be touching them all your life. Absolutely sure.

So yesterday I went to a crop. We had so much fun! This was the best crop I've ever attended. Doesn't say much perhaps... I've been to maybe 5 or 6. :D
But this was just SO nice. We had so much fun. And I love when I don't have to censor myself but can actually be just as dorky as I am! :D
AND as a big bonus I scrapped four layouts! That's not bad, huh? I usually just sit and dumbstare at the pics and embellies for hours and then decide on something else, which usually gives the result of NOTHING leaving the place. :D
And I'm LIKING all my four layouts too! What are the odds of that ever happening! AND they are finished!

Just think, this is our home! How cool is that? We were just gonna go to some houseshowings so we'd know what we wanted in a house. This was the first house we went to look at and on the way back home from the showing we were both convinced we did NOT want the house. Before the day had ended though, we had both changed our opinion about that and totally crazy we WON the bidding and got the house for only 2. 65 mil. It's my best, and most expensive, impulsebuy ever.
Sure we were nervous as we signed all the papers, but we've managed very well. This is our home, and we love it.

Here's a layout I made today. I like this pic of me, and right now it's perfect.

I used lots of acrylic paint. Dabbers from Adirondack are the BEST!
Cut out stars and painted with acrylic paint, and then added a 3D-coat. Did the same with the thickers for the title. Cut the dymo-text up into pieces to add a little mess. :D
Doodlings I have made myself and cut with my CR. Can be found in the shop as a template or cut out. And yes, sooooon I will translate the shop into english. It IS under way... takes some time though as my messy life has been taking over me and all my wants. Some bling on the photo too... thought that was needed for this mess to be complete. :D

I took a walk

After dropping Samuel off at preschool (or daycare? I forget the difference) yesterday I took a walk. Rain was hanging in the air and the light was just gorgeous. After about 15 minutes of walking and seeing all sorts of pretty things I cut the walk short and went for my camera. So I did the same walk again. Do you think the light was still there? No, of course not... But I found some pretty stuff anyways.

Here's what Sweden looks like right now. Fall came earlier than we had hoped, but hey - those colors make up for the loss of summer. Truly do.

Besides the walk I made some lingonberry-jam yesterday. YUM! So good!

Painted nails

This is about how Hannah and I always paint our nails the day before she leaves for the states every summer. Then we cannot clean the paint off until she gets home again. Worked like a charm the first year, when she was gone no more than 2½ weeks.
A little worse this year when she was gone a month!

This was for a challenge to try the new format 6x12 or 12x6
So, this started out as a 12x12 that just didn't look good. I cropped it down, rearranged a bunch of stuff, added some of my Robo-cut doodles and voilá!

You started sleeping in my bed already as a baby and not until you wer 5 yo did you move to your own bed. Still at 10 you sometimes sleep in my bed and I love to listen to you breathing in the middle of the night.

I scrapped!!! YAY!
I liked the blue on my wastebin so I decided to use the same color for a layout. And on SiS I got a challenge to use something from my stash that's OLD. ANd the oldest I could find was the pink PP so that was a given.
I crocheted a flower and the frills are "frills by Peterlina" :D
Will be available in my little shop as soon as the little rascal goes back to daycare... yes... he's got a cold. Of course.
That is also the time the shop will turn english... Be patient. :D Cause next week new stamps are coming in!

So, my scrapinspiration is all gone. Nothing at all happens here. Well, nothing scrappy at least. But I made this little wastebin for throwing little paperpieces in at crops. Perfectly folds to fit in my little bag (cause, yes I only need a small bag. I'm a light scrapper :D)
Thinking of perfecting the little sucker and sell some in my Etsyshop... let's see... what else could I sell there?

Here it is. :) It's felt and stands on its own without paperbacking or anything. Gotta love felt.

Made this about a week ago. I'm trying out my new stamps (doodles) that will be landing in the shop in a couple of weeks. (Waiting for a more specific shippingdate)
Oh, forgot - this LO was picked by one of the fashionistas at Sis for the Catwalk this week! Can you say EXITING???

Besides that we're starting daycare again. With all the 1-2 hourvisits in the beginnng.
This is a new place, just a couple of blocks from here, and it's soooo much better than the old place!
Next week I'm hoping for a few more hours there for Samuel so that I can do some work. Like translating the shop into english and non-swedish prices! :D
Just in case somebody outside of our little country would like to buy something.

So, this is the layout then.

Journaling in english:
No matter how strange this might sound, so when you're gone, it's almost hard to remember the whole you. The way you are, the way you look, the way you talk. It's almost like a blur. Good thing I have ways to remember you until you are home again.

Yes, my daughter leaves me every year for a vacation with her dad to go visit grandma and all the cousins outside of San Francisco. So, that's really what this is all about. I don't forget what she looks like when she goes to school and such! HAHA!

On another fun note, My layout about coffee below was picked as a featured layout on CKs website! How cool is that???
I might add - VERY COOL! ;)

Here's a layout about my love for water.

Journaling in english:
Ever since I was little I have loved swimming in the water. At summercamp I remember diving into the water as soon as I understood that it was time to get up. That way I would gain a couple of extra minutes in the water. My true element.
Floating around in the water gives me such a fantastic feeling of freedom that I just can't get anywhere else.
In Hawaii I got a PADI-certifitcat and got to experience the most amazing part of this world. Even if I have now calmed down on the whole swimming-passion I am still one of the few to actually dive in when the water is a little too cold.

Okay, so I've been generally really bad at all the social stuff on the net lately. It's just that - IT'S SUMMER!
Yeah, When you live in a house it's okay if the sun isn't crazy shining all day long, cause you can just go out during those 30 minutes it's actually showing itself.
So, that's what I've done...

Oh, and I've been working on this too... english version might emerge eventually... it's just some clearstamps I've designed and some digital stuff for Wishblade/craftrobo/sillhouette and such.

Here are the results.

On this one I used a journalingspot from my little store. Drew the flowers myself of course.

This one is cool I think. Put acrylic paint on corrugated paper and turned it over on the CS and got the perfect lines for the background AND journaling!

This was one of those 30-minute layouts i challenged myself to. It's about all the visits I got when I lived in the states and how extremely important they were to me. Journalingspot from my store again. There's hardly any stuff with swedish words on them so I made some. :)

This one also has som journalingspots from my store. This is about how Hannah loves the lottery more then the actual bonfire that goes with this spring-celebration. :)

Yes, my little collector...
Found this pic the other day, and hadn't seen it for a few years. Fun!

I made the frame with acrylic paint, the journaling is obviously Dymo and for the first time in MONTHS I used my foamstamps!! Wohoo! Fun!
Used fluid chalk for those.
The doodlingframe around the pinecone? I drew it and then made a photoshop-brush with it.

No scrap but photos

Okay, so it's been raining here. And when it rains, little mushrooms magically appear in our yard. Had to take the camera out for some fresh air when the sun actually showed itself here.

Since the sun WAS out we took the bikes for a ride and ended up eating icecream and looking at cars go by. Yes, that is the activity of choice if you are a twoyearold boy in this house. *sigh*
I had to take a pic of him looking for the bus... he loves buses... got all sad when he didn't get to ride the bus. So we went home, got the stroller, took the bus down to the trains and watched the trains for a halfhour or so. He loves it. You can just totally see his happiness when he gets to do stuff like that. And it's a cheap activity too! :D

I'm somewhat a dork when it comes to my own embellishments. I know that, you can tease me if you want. :D
So today I doodled this template for the overlay and printed on OH-plastic with the laserprinter. Worked like a charm and I think it created this different journaling that kinda draws the eye away from the real crappy photo. THANK YOU whoever invented the digital camera! :D
Wrote the title and painted with distress reinkers... gotta love that.
And splattered paint all over... This was quite a fun LO to make. :)

Catta and Malin came with this great bike for you.
Why you got it I don't know, but you were sooo happy. I fixed it up with some stickers and other stuff ans as soon as the trainingwheels were on, you wanted to try it. About a year later you could ride your bike all by yourself.

Oh, and this morning, this is what I did, before I started scrapping... yeah. They are delicious!!!

Okay, so here's what I did here.
I used this mesh-material used for making windowscreens to keep bugs out. Smeared it with lots of acrylic paint and then turned it over onto my CS a few times.
Then sewed way too many buttons to still be sane. The heartshaped button I made about a year ago with fimo-clay. Thought it fit here...
Then the journalingspot. My favorite here. I doodled this myself and made into a template for my craft robo (wishblade) and cut that out. Chalked it a little too.

This first is about a best friend I had. Really miss her. Cut the title with my robo.

This other one is about my son, being bored. Okay so I found out later he did some unmentionable stuff, but hey, I don't scrap #2:s so I scrapped how bored he was. :D This was really hard to come, as it just didn't want to be like I wanted. :D

When we visited grandma & grandpa for midsummer you got full attention almost all the time. Then you might need to be bored for a little while and just do nothing.

If I remember correctly, we had just gotten a package from grandma with clothes and other cool stuff and I wanted to take a photo of you in that cute blouse to show grandma. This is the best photo of the bunch. But, despite your silly face, I really like this photo since you're standing in front of the measuringthingy on the door so you can kinda see how tall you were at the time.

This is Hannah at her second birthday. I cut flowers from vellum and added some stickers and rub-ons.

Samuel's only two days old here. Fresh from the hospital! :D
Hadn't seen this pic before, as it's shot by my dad, but now I got it on a CD and what a treat to scrap this! I have drawn and colored the "bubbles" and cut out.

Samuel just refused to swim a couple of weeks ago. We could'nt understand why, as he really likes the water. His Pinga got a dip though and got to ride the big water-carousel at night. :D
Next morning I woke up with strepthroat, and Samuel had it too. No wonder he didn't want to swim!!!

My little kids. I really love them so much. This LO was just for the fun of it... no deep thoughts here. My doodlings too. :)

Trains

You're crazy about trains. Trains trains trains. Before preschool you ask for trains, and after preschool you ask for trains, and after you've gone to bed you talk about trains. It's not that you absolutely want to ride the train, your biggest interest is watching the trains go by. This day we took the bus to Älvsjö, the train to Årstaberg, the trolley to Gullmarsplan and then the subway to Medborgarplatsen. A quick visit to grandma and grandpa and then the train back home. The best part was when you got to stand and watch all the trains go by at Älvsjö Station afterwards.

Buckles

Samuel loves to close beltbuckles, seatbelts, the harness on the stroller... whatever. He loves it. So I had to scrap it too.

I drew hearts, splattered acrylic paint, used some stickers from BG and then some handwriting. The EAN-code-stamp says "I love you" in Swedish.

Journaling is something like this:
It's all about buckles now. Your whole life seems to be about closing as many buckles as possible. Here it's the buckle on the childseat for the bike, but mama's belt, your shoes, seatbelts or the bikehelmet. Everything needs to be closed. And then opened. Problem is that you can't open it yourself, so you need help. And we'll help you, and you hurry and close it. And it starts all over again.

So some more scrap. Been sick for a few day. Fever and stuff. Really not fun at all.
But yesterday I was well enough to scrap some! Woho!

So here's a layout about my daughter who's really a handfull right now.

I used acrylic paint mixed with some water and splattered all over the CS. This is kinda how our life feels right now. :D
Flowers are handpainted and colored with distress reinkers and little dots of acrylic paint in the middle. Then some DM on them.
Title is thickers and journaling is handwritten.

I have finally scrapped again! Feels so good.
Went to see a friend today and we talked some scrap and when I got home, suddenly the inspiration was there! Made this one real fast too! Like that.
Got some stuff in a RAK from a very talented girl and I just had to use them.
Found the going down the middle thing interesting too... very unlike me. :)

My daughter's first glasses had to be scrapped of course.

Flowers are retro-flowers that I painted with distress reinkers. And title is cut with my CR and the font is "color me purple" downloaded from dafont.com.
Journaling is handwriting and goes something like this:

In the fall of 2002 we went to the eyedoctor's with you to check if you needed glasses. We went together with Sofia, and you both got prescriptions for glasses, so we went straight there to pick out the frames. A few weeks later they were ready and you were so happy. Mostly fascinated by the fact that you could see the bus 50 yards away!

Forced scrapping

Yes. Sometimes you just have to force yourself out of scrapblock.
It's not that I don't have the inspiration... I do. But it's just that I don't sit down and just do it. So, today I sat down. And just did.
Very simple page. That's the best to kill scrapblock.

This is a little story about my daughters stroller. A Swedish thing that I bought living in the states... very expensive in my very poor life. But sooo great.
Here's a translation of some sort.

While you were still in my belly I bought this stroller. A real Emmaljunga. It cost $300 which was way more than we could afford. But grandma and grandpa absolutely felt that their little grandchild should have a good Swedish stroller.
We walked around Virginia Lake every day and you took a nap.
I was so proud of both you and the stroller. People would peek into the stroller at you and smile when they saw you. You were so cute.
When we were moving back home to Sweden I had to sell the stoller and I didn't get much for it. It was tough. Our beautiful Emmaljunga.

Here's a colorchallenge for the Swedish challengeblog that I'm designing for.
White, lightblue and orange are the colors to be inspired from. Pretty obvious. :D

I cut the title on my Craft Robo, used my sewingmachine, painted a flower and cut it out. Used some buttons and floss and the patterned paper in the background is just regular paper that I printed out these flowers on. I made the flowerbrushes in photoshop from flowers I had drawn.... that was really fun! You should all try it some time.
Brushes around the photo I also made... looks like paint.
And the journaling is of course handwriting and reads something like this:

You loved that place from the first second and leaving you there was supereasy. Your "class" was called "the ladybug" and you found tons of new friends there. Your best friend over all was Paula. You two had so much fun together. It was great seeing you play. Shortlived happiness though, as Paula was originally from Germany and was moving back there with her family. Luckily you quickly found new best friends to play with all day!

Hannah is about 4 months old. Still peace in the house. At 5½ months she started walking around the furniture - seriously!

I've drawn flowers again, sewingmachine, handwriting, QK studio, two different patterned papers (record for me?) buttons from SEI and some floss.

Yeah, that's it.

Finished 4 layouts, and here's one.
No masterpieces at all, but hey, I don't think I'll ever be able to create another layout like my "new"-LO (with the butterflies and hearts)

So, here's my little niece.
She's adorable.

Used a cookiecutter I hade (like a little wheel for slicing dough sorta...) for the zigzag lines.

Mischief

I jumped on a challenge at the CKMB called "whitespacechallenge"
Only... I do a lot of LO:s with empty space. So I thought a colorful and somewhat crazy LO would be a great idea. Right?
Or no?
This started out as the ugliest LO I've ever done. It was horrible... really.
Then I got the idea that I might save the sinking ship with some buttons and floss, and you know what... it worked! It's not a masterpiece but it's starting to grow on me actually! :D

So here it is... very orange. It's inspired by a wall I saw here in Stockholm a couple of weeks ago... all orange and with some text on it. Cool.

So. "bus" means "mischief".
Journaling says "You're actually pretty calm, but sometimes even you get into mischief"

Icecream

Here's a layout about my son eating icecream.
Journaling is something like this:

Summer came to visit us early this year.
In the middle of april already.
You ran barefoot in the grass and played in the sun.
And of course you also got your first icecream of the year.
And how you loved it!
You held the icecream so nicely with both your hands and licked away at the vanilla icecream.
You could really see how wonderfully delicious you thought this was.
You spent a long time sitting at the little wall by the strawberryplants enjoying your icecream.
And it got warmer and warmer, and it started melting dripping down on your shirt.
But what does that matter?
As long as you were happy.
And you were.
Cause this was the year when summer came to visit in april already.
And in the summer, you get icecream!

I've drawn the stars, painted with distress-reinkers (no really??? ;D) and cut those out.
Title is cut with my CR (Wishblade) and then used as a template to fill in the letters with distress-colors. Font name is Mister Earl.

Lazy days

I sat on the couch last week testing my camera. Gotta learn that thing.
However... I was shooting pictures like crazy on nothing. Or so I thought.
I actually got some cool shots... this is one.

Title is handcut. The doodling is cut with my Craft Robo (wishblade) from the templates that I made.

Besides this, I didn't do much today. Had a fever this morning which turned out to be a migraine. Hate that!
All better now though.

Here's a LO about the poppyfields I saw when I was 14 riding my bike with my dad and brother on an island called Gotland, on the eastcoast of Sweden.
Loved those fields...
And I loved them distressreinkers so I just had to paint some more! Crazy I know!
Did a little Paperpiecing for the Poppy and some sewingmachine.
Acrylic paint behind the pic and some handwriting.
It's great not to always smack a title on your page!

Besides that, my son went on the toilet for the first time today! Yay for him! And yes, being the scrapbooking mother that I am, I ran for the camera! ;)

I've been flippin' through pages in my CK top 10 as well as the latest issue and I am totally inspired by C.D. Muckosky. What a scrapper! Wow! She's super talented.

So I made this LO inspired by all the great things she does, and I really like how it turned out. It's very me, yet you can see I've been inspired by C.D.

I've been drawing my usual flowers and then added color with my distress reinkers and water. The title is also handcut and painted with distresscolor. As is the background.
Then added some sewing and that's about it.

Journaling and title is as follows.

Here's a layout I can't exactly say I like. Mostly because it didn't end up the way I wanted it. Have already changed it once. Very rare for being me.
But what I wanted to show you was the doodling.
It's my own doodling, made into a little file for my Craft Robo to cut out. Think it adds a little something special to the page. :D
